Lopaka is an 11-year-old Polynesian boy who has the power to speak to aquatic creatures, including Flipper. He lives in the island of Illoka. He has the power to converse with sea creatures and to breathe underwater.

Appearance[]

He wears a red islanders skirt and an arm band, which all males wear in Illoka. He has fluffy brown hair that reaches below his ears, and black eyes.

Personality[]

Lopaka is a very loyal friend, to sea creatures and islanders alike.

Trivia[]

  • In the show, Lopaka is referred as a "Menehune". "Menehune" refers to a mythical creature who lives in deep forests and hidden valleys on Hawaiian islands.
  • Lopaka is able to talk to the sea creatures, including Flipper
  • However, he is the inhabitant who must avoid revealing the underwater secret to his tribe.

History[]

He was rescued from drowning as a child by Flipper, and they've been best friends ever since. The islanders of Iloka often wonder where Lopaka disappears to every episode, but he usually manages to avoid speaking the truth (if he were to tell anybody, his powers would disappear).
